Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified candidate to manage protection desk at the community center and all protection desk locations all over T5.

About the job 

Manage protection desk at the community center and all protection desk locations all over T5 in order to provide information to refugees about available services and to do the right referral to partners and relevant services. Ensure proper counseling and information sharing.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

• Manage Protection desk in terms of receiving refugees and host community members 

• Provide information about available services and hotlines 
• Conduct safe referral and identification of cases 
• Conduct outreach visit on weekly basis to reach vulnerable beneficiaries in vulnerable communities 
• Filing of all the data entry of all referrals and received beneficiaries 
• Data-entry of relevant information on Alpha database or any relevant database 
• Inform and update the protection colleagues regarding the service mapping, hotline lists and available services 
• Support Protection monitoring team in assessment and referral

About you 

To be successful in this role we expect you to have a bachelor degree in Social work, political science, law or other related field. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required  

• At least 2 years’ experience in humanitarian, protection, counseling fields 
• Good knowledge of protection principles in humanitarian settings 
• Good knowledge of vulnerability criteria 
• Previous experience working with Syrian Refugees in Lebanon

Desirable 

• Preferred experience in international organization and humanitarian settings

We offer 

Contract length: 11 months’ contract pending funds approval  
Level:  B1 
Monthly Basic Salary: 1250 USD 
Duty Station: Tripoli 
Start date: February 2017
