DRC seeks to improve the protective environment of displaced and conflict affected populations by strengthening their self-reliance and resilience through a tailored response. DRC’s program in CAR aims to build capacities for protection and resilience (through livelihoods, food security, community infrastructures) in Bangui, in Ouham Pendé, and Ouham prefectures in order to strengthen durable solutions for the displaced and returnees.

About the job

Since the second half of 2016, the dynamics of returns to Bangui, which began in November 2015, have intensified. Since the beginning of 2017, through assessments and the implementation of coordination tools, actors (humanitarian, government actors, local authorities, etc.) have come together to develop a better understanding of this dynamic and adapt their action to respond at best to the needs of the people concerned.

In this way, ACTED, DRC, Action Against Hunger and IMPACT Initiatives came together in a Consortium to respond holistically and inclusively to theirs needs. This consortium will implement a project funded by Bêkou which aims to support and sustain the dynamics of return to Bangui through strengthened social, economic and protection mechanisms.
