Plan International UK strives to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world. Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children. We have been building powerful partnerships for children for 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

We are seeking to build our Monitoring and Evaluation capacity by creating a pool of experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Officers. Successful applicants will be considered for specific roles that are anticipated on complex consortium projects, conditional upon donor funding.

You will ensure that existing M&E systems of consortium members are effectively harmonised and strengthened to meet the requirements of a complex consortium project. You will also be responsible for ensuring that learning from the project is properly documented and shared.

You will have exceptional quantitative and qualitative data processing and analysis skills and be able to engage effectively with dedicated consortium M&E partners. You will be expected to have experience of implementing and ensuring the ongoing development of monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks, preferably for large and complex projects.

The posts are open to individuals with generalist thematic experience; however, if you have technical interest and experience in the following areas we would be particularly interested in your application:

  • Economic Security
  • Education
  • Resilience
  • Sexual and Reproductive Health
  • WASH

Due to the nature of our work with children, we follow rigorous child protection policies and procedures in our recruitment process. As a result, some of our roles are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee or volunteer; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences.

Interviews are likely to take place during week commencing 22 January 2018
