18-03 Research Auxiliary- Consultant (Vietnam)

POSTING TITLE: Research Auxiliary- Consultant

PROJECT: TAP-5 project

WORK LOCATION: Dalat, Vietnam The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking a national consultant to provide operative support to the assigned experiments and ensure that plantings are in excellent agronomic conditions Expected duration:

• This consultancy contract is 12 months spread over 2018, with possibility of extension, subject to performance and availability of funding.

Deliverables and duties:

• Execute operative crop management indoor activities to contribute with crops development. • Prepare and mix potting media to contribute with the plant growth conditions. • Crop monitoring of the field trials under TAP-5 project

• Conducts cleaning and maintenance procedures to ensure the greenhouse equipment is working in functional conditions.

• Execute cleaning, pruning and other activities as requested to ensure the crop, cuttings and seeding’s conditions are in excellent conditions.

• Follow protocols and work in a clean and proper way to avoid spreading of any infection in the greenhouse

• Assist during planting and harvesting of field trials

• Assist in recording the observations in the trials under TAP-5 project

• Comply with applicable health and safety CIP policies and procedures.

• Any other responsibility assigned by the supervisor related to the project’s activity. Qualifications/special skills:

• Complete High school education preferably from agriprofessional school.

• Experience of working in Greenhouse for at least three year preferably on potato . • Fluent in official languages according to specific country location. Preferred if elementary proficiency in English
