CARE is seeking a Director of Development (DOD) who will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate partners with a revenue goal of up to $2 million annually. The portfolio will consist of established partners as well as dormant, nascent and emerging corporate prospects with the potential to grow. In addition to a revenue target, the DOD will be charged with leveraging our partners' philanthropic, talent, knowledge, networks, and product assets to create innovative solutions aligned with CARE's mission and learning agenda. The Director of Development will work closely with the Senior Director of Development in the management of Tier 1 partnerships. Responsibilities may include preparing status reports, managing project deliverables, researching new opportunities, and other account management tasks related to supporting the partnerships.

The ideal candidate brings some programmatic expertise, a passion for poverty-alleviation, and the ability to self-manage complex internal and external partnerships. Additionally, he/she is a natural problem solver, is able to work autonomously and has solid project management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 5+years of experience in some combination of corporate fundraising and/or corporate giving, account management, partnership management, project design/management; proposal writing; program advisory or international development fieldwork.
