Project Coordinator(Myanmar National staff position) (Two year contract, with possibility of extension) DCA-NCA Myanmar Joint Country Programme Office***** * ***We are looking to recruit a talented and dynamic Project Coordinator who can drive forward our work on women’s empowerment.** Purpose of the job : The role of the Project Coordinator (PC) is to be fully responsible for DCA-NCA’s part of the EU-funded project entitled: “Empowered Civil Society Organisations and Local Authorities promoting gender equality in Myanmar” implemented by GEN, Pyoe Pin and DCA-NCA. The Project is focused on strengthening Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and local authorities (LAs) in their contribution to good governance and development processes that promote gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, such as supporting the de-centralization of national-level gender initiatives to subnational levels. The PC will be the main focal point between DCA-NCA and GEN and will responsible for day-to-day communication between DCA-NCA and the project implementation team led by GEN. The PC will oversee DCA-NCA project activities and ensure that outcomes are achieved. The position involves implementing Social Accountability and Governance activities as well as guidance and support to project partners on CSO capacity building, small grants management and implementation and other activities as agreed in the project. H/She will be responsible to ensure timely and quality reporting as per EU guidelines. The PC will be working closely with the DCA DHoP, Head of Programme (HoP) and GBV Programme Officer (PO), who is responsible for working with the partners on this EU contract; with DCAs Head of Finance and Finance Officer on issues relating to budgeting and financing; with the DCA Global Funding Officer on contractual obligations and reporting; and with the GEN and Pyoe Pin project staff and management. The EU grant is an integrated part of DCA’s Active Citizenship and Gender-Based Violence programme, and the PC shall therefore feed into DCA’s overall programme reporting and other relevant processes. Key Responsibilities · Project management in close coordination with GEN and support to partners on project outcomes, networking and advocacy · Planning and implementation of DCA-led activities and support to GEN in implementation of activities and ensure timely project implementation and coordination with other stakeholders · Inform and update DCA Management on project progress, expenditures and budget variance and strengthen partner relations and contribute to capacity building of implementing partners · Responsible for DCA-NCA input to annual reporting to EU and for providing input to annual DCA programme reporting and work in close cooperation with DCA and partner staff to support quality in planning, monitoring and evaluation of the project The position is *based in Yangon* with extensive travel in the field, up to two weeks per month. Desired qualifications: • Minimum 3-5 years of experience of working on gender, GBV and/or psychosocial support. • Strong project management skills, including management of back donor funded projects. • Experience working in ethnic areas and with ethnic communities highly desired. • Strong analytical, interpersonal, networking and advocacy skills. • Excellent communication and presentation skills (English, Myanmar and ethnic languages) • Ability to travel to field locations. • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel and Word). • Bachelor degree in a relevant area, e.g. Social Science, Gender, International Relations, Development or any other related. n

The benefit package for the position includes a competitive remuneration with base salary range from MMK 1,426,059 to 2,439,037 per month depending on education and level of experience).
