The Programme specifically focuses on gender equality and gender mainstreaming.

Programme contributes to better access to justice for marginalized and vulnerable persons through (a) establishing mechanisms for dialogue between the government and civil society to address key challenges in access to justice and (b) enhancing the capacities of the government and civil society in advancing rule of law reforms.

The vision of the Access to Justice in Tajikistan Project is to create a justice system whereby all people in Tajikistan can access justice, by having an affordable, state run system of free legal aid, in a country where people, in particular the vulnerable and marginalised – particularly women– know their rights and duties in respect of free legal aid and accessing justice.
