Location: Vienna, Austria

SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Monitors and supports SOS Children’s Villages Member Associations in CEE/CIS in the implementation of quality standards, policies, and guidelines in the field of alternative care and prevention of separation

  • Supports activities of the regional programme department that facilitate knowledge sharing among Member Associations

  • Organises research, conducts analysis and documents good practices

  • Develops and maintains regional overviews of key indicators for monitoring purposes

  • Provides organisational and administration support to the Regional Programme Director

  • Contributes to the development of organisational policies and guidelines

Requirements

  • University degree in social sciences   

  • At least 3 years work experience, preferably in the field of alternative care or prevention of separation

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Russian of advantage

  • Readiness to travel at least 20% of working time
