Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is currently recruiting for the position of a Donor Reporting Finance Officer (DRFO), who will play a key role towards the delivery of IRW’s vision to empower marginalised people with a strong voice and ability to transform their lives. The role will reconcile Partners and Institutional donors’ accounts on a monthly basis and liquidating any completed projects ensuring the integrity of the ledgers. This would include the post-holder investigating and rectifying all anomalies in the ledgers and analyse funds received and reporting on funds. The role will also contribute monitor and track orphan’s one to one programme and orphans gifts funding, provide financial information to international accounts supervisor for financial reporting and analysis. The successful candidate will support the department and its wider stakeholders while complying with IRW’s policies and procedures in undertaking the above roles and responsibilities.

It is essential that the post holder has a degree in Accountancy/Finance, AAT or studying towards ACCA. This should be coupled with evidence of continuing professional development and successful application of best practice in accounting and finance. The DRFO must have a thorough understanding of donor contractual invoicing; accruals and prepayments with previous exposure and experience of numerous partner and institution’s financial compliance. It is imperative that the post holder has the ability to gather and analyse complex information and draw decisions on well written reports. In addition, s/he must have strong written communication skills, and be able to prepare written procedures, reports and deliver internal presentations.
