UNICEF's fundraising area in Colombia has grown considerably in the last 5 years with an annual average of 30%, becoming the second source of funding for the country program in Colombia.

Currently the individual donor channel accounts for approximately 87% of total local income. In the year 2016 the total income of individual donors was COP 12,047,152,701 million pesos representing a 43% growth versus 2015. Part of that growth has been thanks to the diversification of acquisition channels for growth in Income and new numbers of pledge donors through face to face, telemarketing, DRTV and digital strategies.

Specifically, the Face to Face channel represents 60% growth in new annual pledge donors and 88% of new donor channel revenue, additionally each year is the channel that most IF investment receives about USD $ 2,5000. 000 that contributes 50% to RR.

F2F is the global strategy of individual donor generation for the organization, demanding an increasing focus on monitoring information, developing new suppliers and consolidating local capacities to manage this channel.

Under the 2018-2021 plan, the generation of 112,000 new pledge donors is expected through the F2F channel and an estimated investment of USD 16,300,000 during this period.

How can you make a difference?
Under the direct supervision of the Individuals Fundraising Officer, the post is responsible for the development and effective implementation of the F2F channel in Colombia, carrying out the monitoring of all national channel campaigns, managing the current agencies and accompanying the development of new suppliers. The implementation of these campaigns focuses on the performance of each of the agencies and their teams, training, monitoring, feedback, motivation plans and incentives to ensure compliance with KPIs, new pledge donors, average donation, payment rate, attrition rate, cost per acquisition CPA and ROI.

Summary of key functions/accountabilities :  

1.Support and participate in the planning, coordination and execution of face-to-face activities at the national level. Advises and assists senior staff in the area of ​​face-to-face management.
2. Monitoring and evaluation of face-to-face implementation; Prepare evaluation reports and analyze the results achieved in relation to the intended objective. Propose improvements and changes based on the cost-benefit ratio.
3. Provide training, guidance and supervision of the face-to-face team: team leaders, face-to-face fundraising and administrative support. Supervise the hiring of face-to-face fundraisers and regular donor management (savings process).
4. Define the KPIs for each of the new agencies / providers, in terms of number of new donors pledge, donation averages, fulfillment rate, and attrition rate.
5. Ensure the good use of the brand, the truthfulness and the quality of the management carried out by each of the agencies.
6. Monitor and feedback teams according to management, through direct visits to teams and management of the Mystery Shopper service company.
7. Develop a monitoring plan for each of the agencies, in order to quickly activate action plans that allow decision-making.
8. Periodically carry out the zoning for each of the agencies / providers in the cities of the country where they are operating, assign spaces at events, companies and shopping centers and ensure strict compliance by each one of them.
9. Support the development of new F2F agencies in the country.
10. Develop and implement motivation and incentive plans.
11. Monitor the correct implementation of the budget allocated for the F2F channel corresponding to Investment Funds.

12. Elaborate the investment funds request and reports for F2F channel.

Impact of results:

The work of this position assures the focus on the most important channel of acquisition in the country, F2F, a resource dedicated to the accompaniment of the different agencies to guarantee the fulfillment of the KPIs, knowing that the global strategy seeks to develop and stabilize every time plus the channel that generates the largest number of new pledge donors and individual income to the PFP and Organization areas worldwide.

The challenges of this position have to do with growth and quality in the generation of new pledge donors through F2F, increasing the fulfillment rate and decreasing the attrition rate.

It has also been demonstrated that this type of strategies can increase the visibility of UNICEF and positioning in the country, F2F is a channel that makes it possible to sensitize the community in general about the situation of the most vulnerable children and adolescents by this reason this post must assure the correct use of the brand and the veracity in the information that transmits each member of the teams of F2F in the country.

To qualify as a/an champion or advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of Secondary education. Technical and/or University Levels in sales, marketing or any other discipline relevant to the job is an asset. 

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in  sales, supervising sales teams and supplier management or any relevant function. Experience in F2F acquisition is an asset.

  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.

  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
