Under the direct supervision of the Partnerships Manager, (NOC) and in close collaboration with the different functional areas of de private sector fundraising (PSFR) team, this post will be accountable to optimize the value of existing corporate partnerships, according to the general objectives in the Fundraising Strategic Plan of Mexico Country Office specially and implement the corporate retention strategy.

Under the direct supervision of the Partnerships Manager, (NOC) and in close collaboration with the different functional areas of de private sector fundraising (PSFR) team, this post will be accountable to optimize the value of existing corporate partnerships, according to the general objectives in the Fundraising Strategic Plan of Mexico Country Office specially and implement the corporate retention strategy.

How can you make a difference?  

Fundraising Strategy:

  • Under the coordination and leadership of the Corporate Partnership Specialist, establish the Corporate Partnership plan with objective to secure and increase high-value and long-term alliances, as well as flexible, sustainable and predictable revenue as part of overall Resource Mobilization
  • Ensure the plan is aligned with the local and global priorities
  • Identifies and monitors industry trends as well as best practices at UNICEF network, including experiences from competitors, NATCOMS with the goal to turn these into recommendations on how to strengthen the strategy and action plans
  • Propose innovative ways to further develop existing and new fundraising models and translate the ideas into strategies and concrete plans/results.
  • Propose and manage the development of Business Cases with potential for replication.
  • Analyze the operational actions needed and take the necessary steps to implement the programmes and communication of each partnership agreement.

New Partnership Development:

  • Research and identification of key contacts within companies (CEO, mktg manager, sales, special projects, etc.)
  • Generation of appointments, submission of proposals, follow-up and attention to requests from the potential partner (calls, sending emails, writing letters, analysis of market information, financial reports, annual reports).
  • Elaboration of contracts for the signing of alliances and follow-up of internal approval processes.
  • Follow-up on the implementation of the action plan agreed with the partner.
  • Coordination between the areas of communication (company-UNICEF), for the organization of an agreement signing event, campaigns to visualize and communicate the alliance in a timely manner.
  • Search and attend forums, groups and evens, which counts with the presence of the top management of the private sector, to improve networking with companies' decision makers

Global priorities and campaigns:

  • Promote a "share and compare" culture throughout the different channels using appropriate tools to fully leverage the search and reapply opportunities nationally and regionally or globally when applicable.

Compliance with UNICEF's rules and guidelines:

  • Ensure the entire process of partner development follows UNICEF guidelines including screening and proposal submissions (DD1, DD2, and Opportunity).
  • Draft contracts with the necessary Legal support.
  • Interact with the local, Regional and Global team to evaluate opportunities as well as clearance monitoring.

Monitoring and assessment:

  • Monitor progress of decisions and action plans based on outcome of items above;
  • Carry workflow of activities/maintains information flow in the absence of the Corporate Manager.
  • Create an annual forecast of corporate donations' entry. Revisit the material in a monthly basis and adjust it, if necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of the office/region RM&P budget.
  • Prepare periodical fundraising reports, monitor and maintain control records.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have¦

a) EDUCATION: University degree, preferably in Marketing, International Relations, Communication or Business Administration; or equivalent professional expertise/work experience in one of these areas, preferably in Corporate Alliances.

Specialized skills in Customer Relationships management, Public Relations and networking development.

b) WORK EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in Private Sector Fundraising, Corporate Alliances Management, or Marketing; some of which in international organization. Additional years of experience in the related fields is considering an asset.

Knowledge in PC tools software's (MS Office: Power Point, Word, Excel); Basic knowledge in marketing, publicity, communications or Administration will be an asset.

c) LANGUAGES: Fluency in English and Spanish
