The overall objective of this consultancy is to develop an external version of the 2017 UNICEF Zimbabwe Country Office Annual Report (COAR).

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Background

Communicating the UNICEF country programme with partners, donors, and the general public lies at the heart of UNICEF Zimbabwe’s communication and public advocacy work. It is critical that our donors and partners are familiar with UNICEF’s work across the entire spectrum of UNICEF programming and are conversant with the results achieved. Information is also critical to dispelling myths and wrong facts about what UNICEF does and does not do.

UNICEF conducts its annual reviews every year. Whereas, counterparts participate in these reviews, they are by no means the only parties interested in learning about what UNICEF does. An external version of the annual report is a useful document for sharing information about UNICEF’s work with the wider public, both within Zimbabwe and outside. The document will be shared with all our partners, as well as internally within UNICEF.
