CARE is a leading international humanitarian aid organisation fighting global poverty, with a special focus on working with women and girls to bring lasting change to their communities.

CARE Australia is looking to fill the position of Girl’s Education Grants Manager in our Papua New Guinea Office. This role is responsible for the contractual and financial management of project partners and sub-grantees. The role includes providing ongoing mentoring and capacity building opportunities to partners in relation to contract and financial management. This role will require an in-depth understanding of program activities with financial expertise to assist in grant management.

The role also provides regular analysis of program implementation against budgets to inform program decision-making, and ensure that the program is implemented in compliance with CARE and donor regulations, ensuring timely review of financial reports.

You will have in-depth understanding of program activities with financial expertise to assist in grant management to perform in the role. Your extensive experience in building capacity and skills of contract and financial management of other organisations, preferably in PNG will be highly regarded. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage performance, and to coach and motivate a large team will set you apart from others. Your ability to manage numerous stakeholders and respond effectively to challenges will be complemented by your high-level organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, competing priorities and complete assignments within timeframes and budgets.
