UNICEF Cambodia is looking for national interns to join our Community Development Section for 6 months period in 2018. UNICEF began providing assistance to Cambodia in 1952 and has been working since then to improve the wellbeing of Cambodian children. We are now looking for interns to contribute to our team for a period between 3-6 months in 2018. We offer supervision, access to information, engaging working environment and the possibility to work FOR EVERY CHILD.

How can you make a difference?

Under the direct supervision of Community Development Specialist, the intern will support the implementation, monitoring, and assessment on the progress of capacity development on SSIM for commune/sangkat councillors and CCWC and parenting education activities:

  • Support coordination with SNA on implementation and monitoring of workplan for capacity development on SSIM and parenting education
  • Conduct field monitoring to interview SNA to assess capacity to apply SSIM for promoting social services
  • Any other related task required

To qualify as an intern for every child you will have…

  • Enrolment in a graduate/Master’s Degree programme in Community Development, M&E, Early Childhood Development, Capacity Development, Governance or a related field.
  • Previous experience with development projects for women and children;
  • An understanding of international and/or development issues;
  • Familiarity with child right principles and the Convention of the Rights of the Child;
  • In addition to good English, excellent communication skills and solid analytical skills- strong commitment and passion for UNICEF’s mission.

Duration of the assignment

  • Desired period 6 months, Mon - Fri (full time- 5 days per week). Please clearly indicate your availability in your application.

Conditions of the Internship:

Interns with UNICEF may be remunerated with a living allowance, depending on the specific conditions. Preferably the costs associated must be borne by the nominating institution, related institution or government, which may provide the required financial assistance to its students; or by the student, who will have to obtain financing for subsistence and make his or her own arrangements to take on this assignment.
