Executive Director

ALIPH is a Swiss-based foundation aiming to attract, leverage, manage and invest resources for the implementation of preventive, emergency response, and restoration programmes for cultural property in danger of destruction, damage or looting on account of armed conflict.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of programs and projects
• Participate in strategy development
• Lead, motivate and manage the Secretariat
• Evaluate and recruit staff
• Prepare and oversee budget and financial reports
• Coordinate the work of the Scientific Committee
• Assist and support the activities of ALIPH’s committees
• Advocate for cultural heritage protection in conflict areas and increase the visibility of ALIPH’s accomplishments
• Maintain and enhance relationships with donors, partners, and public and private stakeholders
• Liaise with the Swiss authorities

Background and Experience

• Proven leadership and management track record
• Fluency in English, along with 2-3 additional foreign languages
• Adaptable to work in an ever-changing and demanding operational environment
• Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with cross-functional and remote teams at all levels, both internally and externally
• Flexible and able to multi-task and prioritize, has a "can-do" attitude
• Exemplary planning and time management skills
