Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Advisor

CARE is a leading international humanitarian aid organisation fighting global poverty, with a special focus on working with women and girls to bring lasting change to their communities.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Advisor is newly created position based in Papua New Guinea. The role has responsibility for providing technical advice and capacity building to the program team in CARE PNG to improve overall program quality. MEL Advisor supports quality implementation and reporting of existing projects, and the design and implementation of new projects. The role also supports the development and implementation of CARE’s long-term programs in PNG, and strategic partnerships with donors, international and national NGOs, and the PNG government.

CARE Australia is seeking someone with experience in the management of development programming with an international NGO or other development organisation. Your demonstrated experience working in program quality, research and MEL, in addition to technical knowledge and experience in the implementation of transformative gender approaches will be highly regarded. Your ability to design and develop monitoring and evaluation systems, experience in managing and conducting field evaluations and impact measurement will set you apart from others. You will have high-level strategic thinking and experience in the design, development and implementation of program quality strategies to perform in the role.
