The staff member will be in charge of generating a close link between the Private Fundraising, programs and communications areas to produce more fundraising content, ensuring their timeliness, truthfulness and good quality due to the growing exposure of UNICEF through fundraising activities that in the future will demand particular attention to deliver high-quality, relevant and valuable information to potential and existing partners and donors, not only to drive profitable actions, but also to avoid jeopardizing UNICEF imagine and reputation.

The staff member will be in charge of generating a close link between the Private Fundraising, programs and communications areas to produce more fundraising content, ensuring their timeliness, truthfulness and good quality due to the growing exposure of UNICEF through fundraising activities that in the future will demand particular attention to deliver high-quality, relevant and valuable information to potential and existing partners and donors, not only to drive profitable actions, but also to avoid jeopardizing UNICEF imagine and reputation.

How can you make a difference?

  • Work/content plan: Contribute to the preparation of the fundraising workplan / content Plan by analyzing and matching different Private Fundraising Partnership content requirements and providing relevant information on local and global programmatic/communicational priorities and needs.

  • Content guidance and generation: Assist in the implementation of the different initiatives and campaigns, by providing accurate content and guidance for their marketing and communicational alignment coherence, considering digital fundraising, to positively promote UNICEF institutional image, brand awareness and communicate UNICEF programmatic presence in the country and abroad.
  • Coordinated material generation: In coordination with programs and communications areas, timely produce reports to partners and donors, newsletters, “UNICEF en Acción” bulletin for pledge donors, the content to update the webpage in the fundraising section, digital content (banners, social media ads, html pieces for emailing, etc.), videos, spots and other material in order to engage potential an actual partners and donors.

  • Support and advice: Recommend criteria to give thematic, written, audio and visual content and coherence to fundraising activities and messages.
  • Looking for call to action opportunities: In coordination with the communication area, evaluate the possibility of include call to actions oriented to lead generation or acquire new donors in the campaigns and material prepared by Communication area.

  • Effective coordination: Conduct an effective coordination, communication and collaboration with other Private Fundraising Partnerships team members and partners like Communications and Programmes, for efficient working processes, advisory functions, content coordination and general marketing services support.

To qualify as a/an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by marketing, communications, sales, management, or related areas training or university courses in these areas.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant practical and work experience in communication, marketing, promotional or related areas. Communication for fundraising experience is an asset.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
