Under the supervision of the Communication Specialist, P-3 (Polio), but with technical guidance from the Data Communication Specialist (P-4) and the Chief, Polio communication, the Data Officer will work closely with the Emergency Operations Centre communication group and Situation Analysis working group, UNICEF polio communication and immunization teams to strengthen areas related to immunization and social data utilization and application with the aim to strengthen routine immunization and eradicate polio in Nigeria.

QUALIFICATION and COMPETENCIES ( [ ] indicates the level of proficiency required for the job.) Education Advanced university degree in the social/behavioural sciences, (Social Sciences, Development Studies, Anthropology, Psychology, and Health Education) with emphasis on strategic communication planning for behaviour development, social mobilization, participatory communication, and research. Knowledge of GIS software, e.g. Health Mapper, ARC View, new technology platforms for data collection and analysis. Work Experience Minimum three years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the development, planning and management of social development programmes, with practical experience in the adaptation and application of communication planning processes to specific programmes.
