The Vaccine Centre in UNICEF Supply Division in Copenhagen, Denmark is encouraging interested candidates to apply for an internship in our Planning Unit. Internship with the Vaccine Centre, UNICEF Supply Division

Duration: 3 months

 

For every child, hope.

The intern will be placed within Vaccine Centre, Planning unit. The unit manages the Procurement Services of vaccines on behalf of around 100 countries, NGOs and partners, and leveraging the capacity development activities around vaccine planning and procurement.

Purpose of the internship:

Under the supervision of the Planning Specialist, the intern will be responsible for the standardisation of Vaccine Centre internal tools and workflows:

  • Conduct desk review of current processes and workflows in Vaccine Centre
  • Complete gap analyses and identify the areas that require strengthening with special emphasis on the data stored on shared drives, TeamSite etc
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Vaccine Centre and also other centres/units in Supply Division to identify any best practice in use of data targeting different audience

Expected deliverables:

  • Recommend enhancements to internal Vaccine Centre reporting requirements and work processes (i.e. Allocation tables, KPI dashboards etc)
  • Develop standardised presentations / slides and data metrics for different target groups i.e. staff, government partners and supplier
  • Contribute and draft communication notes as part of Digital Workplace (knowledge management) and review and organize the shared drive for Vaccine Centre

Start date: 1 June 2018 (TBD upon availability and successful internship selection process)

Duration: three months (the duration of an internship is normally between six and sixteen weeks. The internship can be extended, however, the total duration of the internship should not exceed six months).

Modality: Full-time – Paid

Qualifications: 

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years. Master's degree in Public Health or Econometrics or related fields is an asset.
  • One year of professional experience in the area of Health, Project Management in developing context is an asset
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
