There are a range of options for visualization including mapping, dashboards, tables, charts, and narratives. It is important that the IM Officer can also discuss the information directly with the internal and external decision makers to interpret the findings.

How can you make a difference?

Purpose of Assignment:

It is important that the IM Officer can also discuss the information directly with the internal and external decision makers to interpret the findings.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Collection, Compilation, and Analysis

  1. Support programs especially Child Protection section in information management of partners existing activity tracker and build their capacity to manage their own database where needed.    
  2. Support UNICEF PME unit’s plan of directly reporting to the sector the results achievement of the agency under its CLA responsibility (Education, WASH, Nutrition, CP/GBV) by working with sector IMs on finding appropriate solution for timely and reliable data management
  3. Support and monitor UNICEF partner’s reporting mechanism through ONA by working with partners in harmonizing their databases to be in line with real-time monitoring requirements e.g., location such camp level reporting versus facility-based; level of disaggregation (gender, age); and other requirements

 Data Visualization

Design and develop a package of humanitarian response data visualization products (including maps, dashboards, info-graphics and financial/ resource analyses) that presents information in a way that is easily understood by various decision makers, individuals and groups. Products will be based on routine data that is available Cox’s Bazar level.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Education: Advanced University degree in Computer Applications, Statistics, MIS, Social Science, Mass communication or any other relevant subject. Some specific training on MIS will be an asset.

    Experience: 2 years of relevel professional working experience at the national or international level in providing management advisory services, hands-on experience in-relevant area. Experience in the use of computers and MS Office software packages and handling of web based management system.

    LANGUAGES (Indicate the languages requirements.)

    Fluency in English and very good working knowledge of Bangla.
