The purpose of a Logistic Assistant is to implement delegated area of responsibility. Overall responsibility of the post holder is summarised as, day to day procurement, storage and realise of goods and services, organising/scheduling the NRC and rental vehicles and managing the drivers, maintain proper utilization of the ICT equipment, preparation of the inventory lists and coding/labelling the fixed assets, the post holder has strong responsibility on keeping, recording /filing and proper usage of all NRC assets and Adhere to NRC logistics policies, SOPs and procedures.

Job description
- Manage day to day maintenance issues at Kabul Program office and guesthouse ensuring NRC’s assets and inventories are well maintained. Organize repairs and maintenance as necessary.
- Manage & supervise Kabul Program warehouse and ensure that all items are received, dispatched and stored properly. Stock cards are accurately done and monthly stock reports are produced/shared to Logistic officer on second of each months.
- To do the consolidation of local procurement, and ensuring that NRC’s financial rules and procedures and standards are applied.
- Organize transport of office goods/supplies from Kabul Program to field offices and coordinate on matters related to dispatch/delivery with other field offices.
- Ensure water, gas and electricity bills of Kabul Program office and guest house are paid on time.
- Making leave plan for drivers and following for them
- Fueling Vehicles + Generators fuel tank based on required and related documentation (Log book controls, payment of fuel supplier, filling the fuel Request form, etc.) process
- Updating of fleet management online
- Physical checkup of vehicles on regularly bases (seek support from Drivers)
- Facilitate the usage and fix the ICT related problems with close coordination with the SO IT Coordinator.
- Make sure that Kabul program staff are using the ICT facilities as NRC ICT policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties when required by line manager
- Ensure that appropriate maintenance support is available for Kabul Program and guest house and repairs are carried out in a timely manner.
- Being full responsible for all activities at the warehouse in Kabul Program.
- Fleet & generator management (coordination meeting with drivers, fuelling, logbook tracking,..etc)
- Handle transportation of goods & supplies to and from field offices & air cargo issues.
- Act as back up for logistics team in other central area offices, when required.
- Manage Transportation/TARs for programs when traveling in/outside of the city
- Coordination meeting on monthly bases
- Preparing of drivers monthly duty Rooster
- Making leave plan and following for them
- Performance Appraisals of drivers on annually bases.
- Overtime calculation of drivers if any.
- ICT equipment Update and configure
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in BBA / Management
- 2 – 3 years’ experience, working as a Logistic Assistant in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
