NRC in the Islamic Republic in Iran

NRC started operations in Iran in 2012. We currently deliver humanitarian assistance in 5 provinces in the sectors of Education, Food Security and livelihoods, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Shelter construction, as well as Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA). We co-lead several technical inter-agency working groups and provide capacity building to humanitarian partners in country.

Finance Assistant Responsibilities:

Generic responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
  2. Assist with the implementation of the Finance Department portfolio according to plan of action
  3. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
  4. Ensure proper filing of documents
  5. Promote and share ideas for improvement of the Finance Department

Specific responsibilities:

  1. Assist with payment procedures, check issuance and banking formalities.
  2. Handle petty cash payment and replenishment at country office level.
  3. Assist with the physical filing and securing of the supporting documents.
  4. Assist with financial verification by pre-checking the submitted financial documents.
  5. Assist with administration follow ups with bank and/or financial service providers such as submission and receiving of required documents.
  6. Assist with updating the finance data base and excel tracking sheets.
  7. Assist with preparation of vouchers for country office payments.
  8. Assist with verification of payroll and Social Security Payments.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  •  At least 1 year of experience in a similar position or University Degree in Finance or Administration
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Good knowledge of English, written and spoken; Fluent Farsi written and spoken
  • Good planning skills
  • Good communication skills

We offer:

Contract until end of 2018
