Context:

Under the overall supervision of the IOM Emergency Coordinator in Bangladesh and the direct supervision of the Programme Support Unit Coordinator in Cox’s Bazar, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of programme support, development, and reporting for all IOM programmes in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

1. Gather information for weekly situation reports based on active and regular dialogue with the IOM Programme Units and produce the final (daily/weekly) reports for internal and external use. 2. Support the Programme Support Unit (PSU) and Emergency Coordinators with the preparation and/or finalization of evaluation reports, reports on programme learning, and finalization of deliverables.

3. In coordination with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer, use data to compile quick results reporting on programme status and impact, including success stories, press releases, regular reports, and thematic clusters.

4. Report on programme status, impact and response to specific issues to a variety of audiences and through various formats in coordination with the Media and Communication Page 1 / 4Officer.

5. Support Programme Managers in the development of Programme Strategy documents and programming standards for dissemination in line with the Humanitarian Response Plan and IOMs Appeal.

6. Prepare transversal analysis and snap-shot documents as needed.

7. Analyse and report on programming within the overall IOM Joint Response Plan. 8. Provide recommendations to the Programme Managers, based on rolling analysis of reporting on programming, options aimed at achieving maximum strategic programme responsiveness and accountability to beneficiaries.

9. Review the quality of all IOM reporting and support Programme Managers in ensuring donor and IOM compliance across programs.

10. Provide technical support to the Grants Manager in reviewing of IOM Implementing Partners Reports and provide capacity building to Partners on Project development and Reporting accordingly

11. Support the mission’s donor relations by contributing to project funding submissions/proposals and appeals.

12. Liaise with Programme Managers in development of new proposals for negotiations and donor liaison purposes, including liaising with the Needs and Population Monitoring (NPM) team to ensure evidence based programming.

13. Research, draft and present any other documents necessary for project development, reporting and donor liaison purposes.

14. Keep accurate and pertinent records of all correspondence, project development and reporting files and administration information.

15. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Education

• Master’s degree in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or

• University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience. Experience

• Field experience in the Migration, Humanitarian or Development fields, with project design, and government and donor liaison;

• Experience in liaising with donors, governmental authorities, other national/international institutions and NGOs;

• Experience in preparing narrative and financial project reports, statements and/or projections; • Superior reporting and writing skills;

• Demonstrated knowledge of project formulation, administration and evaluation techniques and practices;

• Strong skills in the development of log frames, result matrices and work plans; • Preferably within the International Humanitarian Field and within the organizations of the UN Page 2 / 4Common System;

• Good level of computer literacy, including database applications;

• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate administrative activities; • Working experience in the region and/or in an emergency context is an asset. Languages

Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of Bangla is an advantage. Desirable Competencies:
