Position Summary:

The Media and Communications Branch (MCB) of the Division of Communications and Strategic Partnerships (DCS) at UNFPA, the UN reproductive health and rights agency is looking to hire a digital content producer to produce, shoot and edit video and graphics for video productions intended for digital, social and other media platforms in support of the Fund's global branding and communications strategy. High level of creativity and proficiency in producing and editing multimedia materials for social media platforms is required.

Job Purpose:

Under the direct supervision of the Digital/Social Media Analyst, the Digital Content Producer will undertake the following tasks:
  • Conceive, research, structure, develop, assemble and produce multimedia (text, images, audio, video, interactive, etc.) pieces for breaking news, scheduled events, pulse moments and other content areas related to UNFPA’s programmes and campaigns
  • Develop multimedia packages on a quick turnaround, under tight and variable deadlines for social media and other online platforms
  • Conceive, draft and develop social media content, including infographics
  • Edit video clips and photos and create compelling storylines with appropriate thematic B-roll footage to produce series of short videos for various platforms
  • Maintain branding for UNFPA videos and affiliated media products
  • Undertake UNFPA video production and post-production, including managing media for Final Cut Pro and related motion graphics and animation software
  • Liaise with the Digital/Social Media Analyst to assist other MCB staff, as needed
  • Serve as HQ in-house videographer as required; videotape events, interviews, and on location projects for documentation purposes
  • Support the management of UNFPA’s YouTube page as part of the Fund’s digital ecosystem
  • Provide advice and guidance to staff as it pertains to video and multimedia production

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:
  • University degree in communications, digital media, public relations, journalism, marketing or advertising
