PSI is looking for a Chief of Party (COP) to help plan and coordinate all activities under a 5 year USAID-funded activity aimed at providing comprehensive HIV services in Zimbabwe.
The COP will have overall responsibility for coordination of all project activities and staff. S/he will be responsible for technical leadership and administrative oversight of the program and will serve as the principal institutional liaison to USAID. S/he will manage a team of senior staff and sub-partners and ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency of all products and activities generated under the project. The Chief of Party shall be expected to have regular and transparent communication with the AOR.

Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all project staff and activities
- Provide technical leadership and administrative oversight of the program
- Serve as the principal institutional liaison to USAID
- Work closely with the Government of Zimbabwe and other relevant institutions to ensure buy-in and sustainability of the interventions carried-out within the scope of the project
- Manage a team of senior staff and sub-partners and ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency of all products and activities generated under the project
- Ensure strategic alignment of project objectives to country priorities
What are we looking for?
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree or higher in Public Health, international development, Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field is required.
- A minimum of twelve years of progressively increasing experience in designing, implementing and managing large, complex projects involving multiple partners, in/for sub-Saharan/developing countries; of which ten years must have been in a Chief of Party role of a large development program preferably PEPFAR project of comparable size and scope, is desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a depth and breadth of technical and management expertise is required.
- Experience in managing HIV programs and experience with a USG cooperative agreement and PEPFAR is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated understanding of comprehensive HIV/AIDS program in Zimbabwe and or/sub-Saharan Africa, and knowledge of of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment including relevant structural issues in sub-Saharan Africa is required.
- Demonstrated capacity to build and maintain productive working relationships with a wide network of partners and stakeholders. Experience in interacting positively with government agencies, host country governments and counterparts, and international donor agencies is desirable.
- Demonstrated strategic vision, professional reputation, ability to create synergies where applicable, interpersonal skills, and written and oral presentation skills in English to fulfill the diverse technical, managerial and administration requirements of the project description are required.
