The LEAD team within the Department of Human Resources (DHR) at UNICEF provides relevant, innovative and cutting-edge programmes that are tailored to meet the specific needs of our senior organisational leaders. We provide our senior managers with an opportunity to gain new perspectives on critical ways to address the development Agenda 2030, by providing insight into the latest thinking and most effective practice. Through this ToR, we are looking to contract a Digital Media and Design for Learning Consultant who would be responsible for supporting the activities of LEAD. The consultant will be responsible to support a range of its programmes under each pillar of the LEAD section. The timeframe of this consultancy would be for a period of 6 months.

Context and Purpose of the Job

Through this ToR, we are looking to contract a Digital Media and Design for Learning Consultant who would be responsible for supporting the activities of LEAD.  The consultant will be responsible to support a range of its programmes under each pillar of the LEAD section.  The timeframe of this consultancy would be for a period of 6 months.

Key Accountabilities and Duties & Tasks

Supervisor: Ms. Nina Segal, HR Manager (Leadership Development), LEAD section.

Location for consultancy: work remotely with occasional in-person meetings in NYHQ

The incumbent will undertake the following tasks:

  1. Support consistency in visual/graphical design in DHR/LEAD section (learning, communication, career development) resources (e.g. through the design of guidelines, or dissemination of templates).
  2. Conceptualize, design and produce training and communication materials for the learning environment at UNICEF including but not limited to design of brochures, posters, infographics, training materials, presentations and recording of lectures, interviews, short animations, multimedia files, templates, manuals, guides or job aids.
  3. Prepare prototypes or screen mock-ups for online courses, templates, color comps and other pre-productions samples when so required.
  4. Design and create new courses/programmes/channels/pages on UNICEF’s LMS (Learning Management System) if need be.

Deliverables:

Based on the above tasks, expected deliverables include:

  • Templates and guidelines to support consistency of communications and publications
  • Posters, brochures and other promotional resources
  • Courses templates, videos, podcasts, etc.
  • Other deliverables based on respective project needs (e.g. door signs, newsletters, site banners, PPT templates, courses logos, etc.)
