CAMRIS International is seeking a skilled Program Manager to join a rapidly growing division of the company. The Program Manager will be responsible for assisting with, and managing, all day-day aspects of the Military Health Research and Development portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience in government contracting and be familiar with DOD business lines and priorities. The candidate will also be comfortable developing new business strategies, writing contract proposals, communicating timeline and project deliverables, be able to manage internal and external team members, be familiar with human resources regulations, and have experience meeting with and presenting business concepts to a wide range of current and prospective clients.

  • Lead project manager for Military Health Research and Development Program.
  • Develop and communicate project status to end clients, indicating milestones relating to progress, timeline and scope changes as well as any technical quality issues to all internal parties as well as to the end client.
  • Applies project management expertise and best practices/tools to define and execute:
  • Scope, schedule, cost management, resources, isssue/risk management, communications, change management, quality, vendor management, and contract management.

  • Ensures on-time and on-budget delivery of projects through organizing, developing and routinely forecasting project plans and project budget.

  • Manages transitions to ensure on-time completions or smooth flow to the next phase of the project. Builds strong partnerships and communication plans with all project stakeholders and project team members.

  • Adheres to the PM processes and actively prepares for / participates in all project reviews.

  • Leads and engages single or cross-functional project teams, which are accountable for execution of contracts, from candidate identification, hiring, conduct of the research and development plan, and implementation of company policies and newly identified solutions for any team issues.

  • Customer driven champion able to develop and maintain strong relationships.

  • Ensures alignment of all project roles and responsibilities and they are articulated to each team member, modified as required, and accomplished throughout the project.

  • Provides clear feedback - both routine feedback (ad hoc discussions based on project activities) and formal feedback (reviews at key phases of the project or related to performance evaluations).

  • Monitors and measures staff/resource assignment results against project / task goals and accountabilities.

  • Develop and maintain effective rapport with current and potential customers and internal and external team members.

  • Evaluates managements of projects, emerging methods, industry best practices and lessons learned to develop most current and innovative Project Management practices and standards.

  • Educates team members on emerging industry methods, practices and standards as it may relate to project management for the company.

  • Provide consistent, concise, relevant, reliable and timely information to all appropriate internal and external audiences/stakeholders through a variety of media.

  • Ensures accuracy of information to enable effective business decisions.

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, administration, program management, or related field. A master's degree is preferred.

  • Five years of project management experience, including experience with government contracting and management of DOD programs.

  • An active/current PMP Certification is preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of program management methodologies.

  • Ability and desire to maintain and expand client relationships through the delivery of high-quality work.
