IT Admin Support Assistant SC-4 (Cox's Bazar)

The position is based in Cox’s Bazar. Local travel within the Cox’s Bazar district is required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Within delegated authority, the IT Admin and Business Support Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist managing all IT related Administration, Travel, Logistics issues in the operation;
  • Liaise and coordinate with any relevant partners e.g. WFP Administration, Travel, Supply Chain, Procurement, ETS and SCOPE focal points;
  • Assist supporting receipt/dispatch equipment against official approved documentation (e.g. waybills, delivery notes, loan forms, equipment hand over) ensuring accuracy in physical counting of equipment including the quality in compliance with the established standards;
  • Assist maintaining and sharing a tracking sheet for all IT orders/shipments/deliveries;
  • Assess the availability of space and assist preparing stacking/storage plans prior shipments arrival;
  • Ensure incoming / outgoing IT equipment is fully and properly accounted for and that internal control systems are adequate and functioning;
  • Assist maintaining inventory of equipment, including updating GEMS;
  • Carry out periodic cycle counts to ensure information in the control systems reflects the physical stock of all IT equipment.
  • Assist coordinating the shipping of equipment to/from the warehouse to the locations where items will be deployed.
  • Receive and inspect all incoming assets and report discrepancies in IT materials inventory to senior colleagues to ensure materials are effectively tracked;
  • Inform equipment and services deliverables in order to raise GRN/SES
  • Follow up monthly payments for IT services with relevant units focal points
  • In case needed, liaise with the Security Unit to ensure the necessary paperwork for the deployment of IT personnel is correctly submitted and all the permissions (including security) are granted
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Academic or professional experience in computer science.
• Has experience resolving level 1 IT issues.


Education: Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science.

Experiance: Minimum 2 years of relevent experiance.

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Bangla.


Contract Type: Service Contract
Contract Duration: 6 months (extendable)
Duty Station: Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh
Nationality: Bangladeshi only
Monthly Net Salary: BDT 77,466.00 net
