ChildFund Papua New Guinea invites Expressions of Interest (EoI) from consultants to design and deliver a training of Secondary School teachers in introduction to supporting student wellbeing and responding to wellbeing issues. The training will provide information and skills on the kinds of issues children face (including child protection and SRGBV issues), building positive teacher-student relationships, recognizing students who might need support, communicating with students in need and making referrals where possible.

ChildFund PNG is seeking a consultant with experience in designing and delivering contextually appropriate, evidence-informed and participatory training. The successful consultant should also have appropriate experience in the Asia-Pacific region.

Key activities include:

· Development of manual and tools to support a 4-day Teacher Training targeting Secondary School teachers (including a simple teacher handbook)

· Preparatory work with the project team to prepare for the first round of Teacher training

· Lead delivery of first round of teacher training (providing coaching and mentoring throughout to the project team)

The training package will be used to deliver further trainings in the future and will be owned by ChildFund PNG and the National Department of Education.

The consultant should be available to work on dates to be agreed between May and July 2018.

The EoI should include a consultant CV, rate, proposal based on ToR, days required to complete the work and availability.

  • Summary of background experience
  • Brief overview of approach/methodology
  • Chart allocation of days (note details above under ‘Timeframe’)
  • Proposed total budget including daily rate for consultant
  • Contact details of at least three referees
