Fixed Term – 2 years with possibility of extension

CARE is a leading international humanitarian aid organisation fighting global poverty, with a special focus on working with women and girls to bring lasting change to their communities.

CARE Australia is seeking an experienced Chief of Party (CoP) who will provide the project with overall vision, leadership and guidance with a focus on the agricultural sector that accesses economic opportunities. The CoP will be the primary contact with USAID and has overall programmatic and fiscal responsibility for the project ensuring compliance with all USAID and CARE regulations.

Your relevant experience in international development project management or with the implementation of senior management experience in microenterprise, economic development, and agriculture or value chain development will be highly regarded. Your skills in strategic thinking and planning, management, supervision and budgeting, and experience managing complex activities will set you apart from others. Your demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with host governments, donors and other stakeholders will be complemented by your strong oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
