UNICEF Timor-Leste is currently looking for an international consultant to develop a standard final project report for the donor.

Background

UNICEF Timor-Leste supported the Ministry of Health to implemented an Integrated Nutrition Project which was funded by EU from March 2014 to December 2018. The project covered five municipalities in Timor-Leste and aimed to reduce the burden of under nutrition and micronutrient deficiencies among children below 5 years old and women of reproductive age through improving the coverage of high impact nutrition interventions and strengthening the health system for nutrition service delivery to the communities. The project supported the Ministry of Health to strengthen the capacity for nutrition programme planning, implementation, management and coordination; improve the access of women and children to quality nutrition services, and improve access to maternal, infant and young child health and nutrition behavior change communication.

Purpose of assignment

The Project has been implemented for five years and UNICEF has intended to develop a standard final project report for the donor and UNICEF itself.  The main purpose of this consultancy is to prepare a project final report following the given template.

Scope of Work

  1. Prepare a draft report following a given template through

    • reviewing and analyzing the project reports, such as annual reports, mid-term and final evaluation reports ;
    • reviewing and analyzing the activities supported this project  including training and different communication materials; and
    • interviewing key program staff at UNICEF who were directly involved.
  2. Finalize the report by incorporating feedbacks given by UNICEF through Child Survival and Development Section.

The final report (final product/deliverable) of the consultancy must be submitted in English.

The consultancy period will be for 10 working days.

Qualifications or Specialized Knowledge /Experience Required

  • Advanced degree (masters) in Communication or Social Science or Public Health including nutrition
  • Good English writing and documentation skills including skills in leveraging MS Words and MS Excel for document organization.
  • Proven track record of donor report writing, especially for EU funded project.
