Established in 2010, the GCF invests in transformational climate projects in the developing world. The Fund makes an ambitious contribution to global climate act ion and channels significant financial resources into developing countries to help build low -emission and climate- resilient societies. It is country -driven and undertakes actions which reflect the circumstances of each country concerned and its national a spirations. The GCF is a key enabler of the 2015 Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

Since its establishment, the GCF has mobilized 10.3 billion USD, accredited 54 entities to channel its resources and approved 43 funding proposals. In addition, it has bu ilt up an extensive program to support developing countries identify their needs, in particular those who are most vulnerable to climate change impacts. The GCF’s diverse workforce is advancing its mission from its headquarters in South Korea. GCF is seeking to recruit a Results Framework Specialist. The Specialist will be responsible for the establishment and monitoring of organizational key perf ormance indicators and results framework. S/he will assist in conducting organizational reviews following international best practices.

Duties and responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Head of Strategy and Planning, the Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to: • Build and implement Secretariat-wide results-based management and tracking systems and processes; • Provide assistance in coordination and implementation of the Work Programme of the GCF Secretariat and its results framework;

• Support in establishing an integrated approach to the organizational performance management process,

ensuring its alignment with the strategic plans;

• Liaise with divisions and offices to review and update the status of implementation of the Work Programme;

• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Expected experience and qualifications*

• Master’s degree in international relations, management related disciplines, or other social science fields;

• At least 7 years of relevant professional work experience in organizational perform ance management;

• Strong analytical skills;

• Experience in information analysis;

• Excellent planning and organizational skills;

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, and highly developed cultural sensitivity in communicating with all levels

of staff, both orally and in writing; and

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential for this position; knowledge of

another UN language an advantage.

*The person assessed by the Selection Panel as most suitable for the position will be proposed for appointment. The

above criteria should be seen as indicators of the qualifications, experience and skills that would quali fy candidates

for consideration. Other combinations of academic qualifications and years of experience may be considered .

Selection among short -listed candidates will also take i nto account performance at interview , appropriate testing

and references.
