In collaboration with government counterparts, the UNICEF Oman Country Office (OCO) recently finalized the development of the Government of Oman (GoO) and UNICEF Country Programme Document (CPD) and Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP) for the period 2017 – 2020 outlining the objectives and mode of programme implementation over the course of the next four years. Given the high-income status of Oman, the operational modality of UNICEF is a unique experience. The programme is fully funded by the Government, complemented with a minimal Support Budget from UNICEF to finance the operational costs. Accordingly, Programme Interns are an integral part of the Programme team, assisting with varied tasks that support the smooth implementation of the country programme.

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, Hope
