ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

To support site maintenance services in providing cleaning, laundry, basic garden maintenance, porter duties and other related manual work, to ensure WFP premises are well-organized, kept in a clean and hygienic condition and are in compliance with the established standards.

JOB PURPOSE

To perform routine site maintenance tasks to support safe, comfortable and reliable working environment.  

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Perform basic manintenance of outdor/indor environments, to keep them clean, well organised and in a good condition
  • Provide support in loading/offloading and moving office equipments, furniture, baggage and ohter items for efficient site maintenance services.
  • Support preparation and delivery of food and beverages, arrange for basic refurbishment and maintenance of kitchen are and equirpment to faciliate efficient service.
  • Provide efficient cleaning services including kithens and toilets to ensure clean, hygienic and well-organized working environment.
  • Escorting UNHAS visitiors to/from UNAMA terminal to UNHAS compound.
  • Assist with collection of delivery from suppliers.
  • Maintain and clean all cleaning equipments utilized in the office.
  • Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education.
Experience: Two or more years of relevant working experience

  • Knowledge of basic equipment and use of cleaning materials/solutions.
  • Ability to operate and maitain equipment and supplies related to work in a good working condition.
  • High sense of responsibility and initiative.
  • Punctuality, honesty and integrity.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and meet deadlines.

Language: Fluency (level C) in English language. Fluency in Pashto or Dari, preferably both.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Position Title: Site Maintenance Assistant (Helper)

Contract: Service Contract - SC

Duty Station/travel: Kabul, Afghanistan

Salary: Starting at USD8,775.84 net per annum

Medical Plan: International valid medical plan valid also for staff, spouse and dependents children under 18 years

Annual leave: 24 working days per annum
