The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking for its Finance Directorate - Capital Markets Department - Investor Relations and Marketing Division

at its headquarters in Luxembourg:

Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st September 2018)

Objective of the traineeship

The main objective of your traineeship is to provide improvements to existing reporting tools / create a new reporting tool, which enhances the UX experience and provides additional disclosures, targeted to users in FICAP as well as external parties interested in green bond reporting.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of Senior Officers, you will:

  • Monitor ITs development of the existing IRM tool including demo sessions and testing sessions with users in FICAP; the tasks will include adding / updating requirement specifications, organising test cases and test sessions, reporting issues, and cleanup of investor names.
  • Monitor ITs development of a tool for climate awareness bonds that automatises and personalises impact reports including information about the projects financed; the tool should be accessible both through web browsers and on mobile devices (tablets, mobile phones).

Academic qualifications and professional skills

  • Final year of studies or University degree (Bachelor/Master) a degree preferably in project management, alternatively in IT, finance or business administration / marketing; excellent academic track record is required;
  • Project management experience (IT projects would be a plus);
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French. Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage;
  • Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (Windows, MS Office, Web Browsers, Adobe) and solid experience on Business Objects;
  • Knowledge about database administration, database development and report design;
  • High level of numeracy and literacy.
