The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking for its Operations Directorate - Iberia - Public Sector – Portugal
at its headquarters in Luxembourg:

Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st September 2018)

Please note that you are requested to limit your applications to a maximum of three traineeship publications. We will only consider and retain the first three applications submitted.
Objective of the traineeship
You will work in the Iberia department (Spain, Portugal) with the division in charge of the public and private sector in Portugal. You will get acquainted with the activities of lending to projects based in Portugal (regulated utilities, other corporates, intermediary banks, etc.) and with a comprehensive overview on EIB's activities and project cycle. The tasks will be related to loan and guarantee operations.
Responsibilities
Under the Deputy Head of Division's supervision, you will be responsible for:
- Providing back-up to project identification, appraisal and negotiation process;
- Providing support in the monitoring of operations;
- Preparing notes on selected topics as required.
Academic qualifications and professional skills
- Final year of studies or University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Economics of Business Administration;
- Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (Windows, MS Office, Web Browsers, Adobe);
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French. Knowledge of other languages (Portuguese) would be an advantage;
- Experience in financial analysis.
