DRC is looking for Protection Assistant to work at Sanad community Center located in Maan , to support the Protection Officer in implementing the protection component of DRC Community Cohesion and Self-Reliance projects. Protection Assistant responsible for assisting the officer to insure protection mainstreaming in its intervention, and improve the effective response to protection concerns.  
 
 
About the job 
 
The individual will report directly to Protection Officer. Your main duties and responsibilities will be: 
• Assist in the implementation of protection activities, including cash for protection , protection monitoring and community based protection committees  
• Ensure that protection activities are in compliant with Standard Operating Procedures, Policies and Accountability Principles.  
• Ensure dissemination of clear and reliable information on service provision and other pre-selected key topics. Support in facilitating information sessions and protection massages & activities.  
• Assist in Receiving and compiling protection referral cases. Maintain well-organized comprehensive files and tracking sheets for each managed case, and submit the report with relevant follow up to Senior Protection Officer in regular bases.  
• Provide and develop relevant reports, assessments, and observations on protection related issues and submit it to Protection Officer as per request. 
• Insure the confidentiality of information gathered during home visits and case interviews. 
• Assist the Protection Unit on strengthening DRC protection interventions and achieve the full filing protection strategy. 
• Conduct any other related duties in line with the DRC Jordan standard operating procedures & principles 
 
 
About you 
 
• To be successful in this role we expect you to have at least 1 year protection experience in a humanitarian and/or development sector; 
 
Moreover, we also expect the following:  
 
Required / Desirable 
• Bachelor’s degree in human rights, social work or any related field; 
• knowledge of protection related needs, services and challenges; 
• Experience working with local organizations and local communities; 
• Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to establish reports; 
• Arabic and English (strong asset)

We offer 
Contract length: 6 month contract including three months as probation period, renewable based on both funding and performance. 
Level: C 
Designation of Duty Station: Ma’an
