The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are seeking to fill a consultancy position of Talent Acquisition Specialist based at our Headquarters in Rome, Italy. Contract duration 11 months from start date.

The Technology division has started a transformation path that requires a skilled, innovative and committed workforce. The changes to the Technology Structure requires enhancing its current structure by acquiring externally key capabilities.

Under the general supervision of the Chief, ICTR and the direct supervision of the Head, Talent Management the incumbent will be responsible for the recruiting projects of the Technology Division, will identify the right source of talented people, and will look for and recommend ideas and innovative approaches to cast the net wider.  

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand and challenge staffing needs for the immediate, mid-range, and long-term.
  • Manage full life cycle of recruitment process from discovery meeting with hiring manager, sourcing and screenings candidates, advising the most qualified candidates to hiring team, participating in the interview process and hiring decision;
  • Build and maintain broad network of potential candidates as a result of the recruitment process or through pro-active research with the aim to anticipate business needs and increase awareness and market benchmark;
  • Identify gaps in the recruitment/interview process and provides recommendations of improvement;
  • Promote, develop and execute new recruiting solutions and tools;
  • Provide meaningful metrics on average open to fill time, advanced interview to hire ratios, and other reporting as needed
  • Other duties as required.

Deliverables:

  • Create an effective network and solid relationships with the hiring managers and HR;
  • Support the definition of the staffing plan for the Technology Division;
  • Identify innovative sourcing channels for attracting talented people;
  • Create and maintain rosters for the most requested roles (e.g. Business Transformation Offices, project Managers, etc.);
  • Delivery training to hiring manager on the Talent Acquisition process;
  • Delivery of reports on the Talent Acquisition process.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education:

University degree preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

More than 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR process or relevant activities.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Project management;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability in proactively networking & establishing effective working relationships;
  • Strong team player coupled with demonstrated ability to work autonomously;
  • Passionate and committed to excellence;
  • Ethics & Values, Client Orientation, Cognitive Capacity, Stress Resistance, Behavioural Flexibility.

Language:

Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages) is desirable.
