Senior Technical Specialist, Public Resources

FH is seeking a highly motivated, original thinker and experienced proposal writer to serve as Senior Technical Specialist for Public Resources. The core purpose of the Senior Technical Specialist, Public Resources is to support the Public Resources Development Unit of the Public Development & Strategic Resources Officer (PDSR) Department to advance grants acquisition and management of opportunities from the US government. The Senior Technical Specialist will focus primarily on business development, including proposal writing by working closely with Programs, Relief and Humanitarian Affairs, and Learning and Evaluation teams in the design and performance monitoring of key U.S. Government (USG) projects. The role will focus on incorporating innovation and learning into the design of sustainable, high impact public funding proposals.

This includes supporting New Business Development for USG opportunities and supporting the negotiation of relationships and partnerships with internal and external partners in the design and implementation of resource development approaches in coordination with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Key Result #1 – Opportunity Development and Funding Growth. Support the Senior Director Public Resources in designing and developing USG funding strategy that aligns to the Unit’s strategy and the overall FH strategy and ensure that all funds complement, enhance or accelerate graduation of communities. (60% of time).

Key Result #2 – Participate in team-based grant assistance and support for programs funded with public resources in close coordination with key stakeholders. (30% of time).

Key Result #3 – Participate in strategy sessions to support the Senior Director, Public Resources. (10% of time).
