The NRC Head Office HR Unit is part of the wider HR directorate, and provides a full range of HR development and operational support to the 250 staff and managers based in the Oslo Head Office.  The HO HR Unit also ensure the implementation of global HR strategies, as they apply to HO, and has responsibility for the facilities management and administration of the HO premises.  The Recruitment Adviser is responsible for providing advice and guidance to line managers on issues related to recruitment.

 

 Role and responsibilities

The Recruitment Adviser is responsible for assuring compliance with all HO HR routines and guidelines, and responsible for providing advice, guidance and support to Head Office line managers in recruitment process including planning and scheduling across a number of simultaneous recruitments.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Advise HO managers on personnel planning and manage recruitment processes, and encourage HR synergies across departments at HO, e.g. recruitments, job rotations, gap fillings.
  2. Day-to day support to staff and managers at HO in questions related to recruitment.
  3. Share best practises on recruitment issues with other recruiting HR advisers in NRC, through regular fora for cooperation.
  4. Participate in recruitment panels as required and undertake assessments (eg competency assessment)
  5. Provide advice and guidance to managers on the use of assessment tools and techniques to support effective recruitment
  6. Ensure good implementation of recruitment initiatives.
  7. Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures. 

     

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant recruitment/Adviser experience
  • Knowledge of the end to end process and current approaches to advertising, interviewing and assessment techniques (may have accreditation in use of specific assessment tools).
  • Well-developed interviewing skills
  • Professional knowledge of HR
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and verbal
  • Very good knowledge in Recruitment systems (Webcruiter, LinkedIn, Cut-e)
  • Knowledge about the Norwegian labour system
  • Knowledge of NRC an advantage
  • Service-oriented

 

Contract period:Until 31.12.2018
