Purpose of Assignment: The Training and capacity building consultant supports the C4D Cox Bazar team in planning, developing and implementing capacity building sessions and trainings for Implementation Partners and Programme Sections within UNICEF.

Purpose of Assignment:

The Training and capacity building consultant supports the C4D Cox Bazar Team in planning, developing and implementing capacity building sessions and trainings for Implementation partners and Programme sections within UNICEF contributing to over Programme strengthening.

How can you make a difference?

Major Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop an Approach note and a plan on training and capacity building Inception report  
  • Designing trainings and capacity building sessions for the Implementating Partners/Sectors on the identified key behavioral matrix.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of a Capacity Building Dashboard to allow for effective oversight of the implementation of trainings for IPs and Sectors.
  • Technical guidance and quality assurance of training materials including TOT module, Tools, and cascade training plan and modules to be conducted by JHU-CCP for the frontline staffs, mobilizers deployed by the government, sectors and partners and religious/ community influencers/Majhis & IFCs.
  • Support the development, pre-testing and implementation various training materials including audio-visual learning materials
  • Field monitoring of the program in addition to ensuring quality assurance of the trainings developed and timely need based assessments for trainings and capacity building. Identification of case studies and best practices.
  • Develop monthly work plan, progress report and conduct field monitoring visits at least 7 days each month and further need based trips and submit field monitoring visit reports

01 Training Quality Assurance Plan, 02-03 Tools, 02/03 case studies/best practices

06 Monthly Work Plans, 06 monthly progress report, 20-30 short field monitoring reports

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Qualifications (Education, Work Experience, Special skills and/or knowledge, Competencies required for the assignment):

  • An advanced University Degree in social and behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, communication, public relations or other related social science field is required;
  • Minimum five-years of professional experience in the field of training & capacity development, social development programme planning, communications and campaigns;
  • Working expertise in an L3 emergency for at least 06 months would be as asset;
  • Proven experiences and expertise in communication training and training materials development;
  • Strong partnership development and programme management skills;
  • Strong written and spoken communication skill in English & Bengali, proficiency in Rohingya/Chittagongian will be an asset.
