Job Setting:

Under the overall guidance of the Representative and Deputy Representative, with direct supervision by the Programme Coordinator and collaboration with the Assistant Representative, the Programme Analyst, will support the design, development and management of the GRZ/DfiD/UN Joint Programme on RMNCAH&N.

 

Job Purpose:

The Programme Analyst substantively contributes to the management of RMNCAH&N activities, providing lead technical support in the area of Reproductive health. She/he, proactively provides the Programme Coordinator information on the political, social and economic context relevant for the RMNCAH&N and achievement of results in the implementation of the GRZ/DfiD/UN Joint Programme program. The Programme Analyst facilitates and coordinates implementation of the assigned program area with technical advisors and experts recruited in the framework of the program. S/he establishes and maintains partnership, synergy and strategic alliances with counterparts in government, multi-lateral and bi-lateral agencies and civil society to address emerging issues and to facilitate program delivery.

 

Education: 

Possess a minimum of a Post-graduate University Degree in public health, medicine, global health development, or other related field.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience, including 2 years of experience in RMNCAH&N and health system strengthening related programmes.
  • Proficiency in current office software applications.
  • Proficiency in Atlas, PeopleSoft, and other computerized applications used by the UN.

 

Languages: 

Fluency in English is required.
