- Lead/Contribute to the development of value chain studies, policies and initiatives.
- Design and implement Value Chain analyses, value chain mapping, stakeholder engagement and provision of detailed recommendations on how and what can be done to effect improvements in value chain bottlenecks and related investments needed.
- Lead/Contribute to the development of value chain studies and initiatives for a range of commodities in developing and transition countries in the Asia Pacific region.
- Advanced university degree in (for Consultants) / University degree (only for PSA) in agro-economics/marketing with a specialisation in food/agriculture and value chains development
- 5 years of relevant experience in the subject area
- For consultants\: Working knowledge of English, French or Spanish and limited knowledge of one of the other two or Arabic, Chinese, Russian
- For PSA, Working knowledge of one FAO language

- Extent and relevance of experience in sustainable and inclusive value chain development

- Extent of experience in the development of sustainable value chains of agro food products in developing countries and preferably in the Asia Pacific Region
- Capacity to develop and implement complex value chains initiatives in developing counties
- Extent of experience in providing technical support in VC development in terms of successful interventions
- Capacity to engage with public, private and CSOâs for sustainable and inclusive VC development.
