Organizational Setting The positions are in FAO-GIZ MicroBanker Project. It is a global project which is engaged in development, distribution, maintenance and support of the FAO-GIZ MicroBanking System (MBWin). MBWin is a modular banking software designed and developed for use in rural banks, financial (farmers) cooperatives, microfinance institutions and other rural financial institutions. It has modules for loan and leasing accounts, current accounts, savings accounts, time deposits, share accounts, ATM and other modules that interface with the general ledger module (GL) and the contact information module (CIF). MBWin is an integrated system and is currently used in 23 countries and more than 1300 sites worldwide. Call Purpose The purpose of the Call is to attract global talent for the Consultant and Personal Services assignments as they become available. The Call will create a roster of Applicants that will be used to identify candidates for these assignments, at regional or country level in the region. The project shall be hiring the MBWin Experts in Programmer, Senior Programmer, Tester and Project Manager positions. Duration Depending on the task to be undertaken, the appointments will be on a short-term basis, lasting from several days to 11 months, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and depending on the resources and needs of the project. Reporting Lines The consultants will report to the Team Leader of the assignment. Technical Focus IT for Rural Finance and Microfinance. Tasks and responsibilities Depending on assigned roles the incumbents are expected to · Develop and implement enhancements and modifications as assigned through the issue tracking system and in accordance with the specifications and procedures provided by the supervisor(-s).· Provide prompt end-user support to all global MBWin users, as specified and coordinated through the issue-tracking system or directly by the supervisors.· For Project Manager â manage day to day operations of the project. Make proposals and prepare specifications for a further development and enhancements of the MBWin system. Maintain relations and communication with MBWin customers, partners and owners (FAO and GIZ).

- For Consultants\: Advanced university degree (Master or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field / For PSA\: University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- For level C (Consultants/PSA)\: at least one year of relevant experience
- For level B (Consultants/PSA)\: at least five years of relevant experience
- For level A (Consultants/PSA)\: at least twelve/fifteen years of relevant experience respectively
- For Consultants\: Working knowledge of English and limited knowledge of one of the other\: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish / For PSA\: working knowledge of English or working knowledge of Arab, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish and a limited knowledge of English..
