The GS5 Acquisition Channels Assistant will be responsible for support the acquisition of new donors controlling the good quality of the recruitment process to ensure that the profile of the donors is adequate; the correct handling of the proposal and the information about UNICEF’s mission by the fundraisers; and the appropriate quality of new donors’ information. The work of the staff member will be oriented to support the recruitment of as many individual donors with the best quality as possible. This post will be under the general supervision and leadership of the NOA Individuals Fundraising Officer.

The GS5 Acquisition Channels Assistant will be responsible for support the acquisition of new donors controlling the good quality of the recruitment process to ensure that the profile of the donors is adequate; the correct handling of the proposal and the information about UNICEF’s mission by the fundraisers; and the appropriate quality of new donors’ information. The work of the staff member will be oriented to support the recruitment of as many individual donors with the best quality as possible. This post will be under the general supervision and leadership of the NOA Individuals Fundraising Officer.

How can you make a difference?

  • Monitoring and evaluation: Monitor, plan and provide feedback to each supervisor and fundraiser of the different acquisition channels (i.e. call centers, Face to Face agencies, digital agencies, etc.), providing technical training in order to achieve goals for each campaign, improving the communication, fundraising speech and ensuring the trust in UNICEF purpose (i.e. execute call listens, donor forms review and mystery shopping activities, providing feedback in order to improve the quality and the performance of the fundraisers and their work).

  • Reporting and provide insights: prepare reports per fundraiser, per supervisor, per campaign and per provider including performance, productivity and improvement needs for management. Make recommendations on managing fundraising teams for each campaign. Develop and implement an action plan to each fundraiser / supervisor / campaign / provider in order to improve the performance (results and quality). Undertake different types of analysis information in order to improve and ensure campaign goals, fulfillment and attrition rates.
  • Motivating fundraisers / supervisors / providers: carry out an incentives plan that aims motivation, enthusiasm and engagement within fundraisers, teams and providers. Develop and support all activities related with teamwork.
  • Training fundraisers: conduct training and ensure an induction plan to new fundraising members.
  • Innovating: participate in trainings about fundraising tools and techniques in order to have up to date techniques. Learn about UNICEF programs, visit projects and coordinate talks with program specialists through Private Fundraising Partnership team and fundraisers.
  • Support: support the process of the individual donor fundraising as required of the Individuals Fundraising Officer.

To qualify as a/an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by management, marketing, sales, communications or related areas training or university courses in these areas.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant practical work experience with supervising sells work groups, as supervisor or team leader. Fundraising experience is an asset.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Excellent communication and writing skills in Spanish are required.
