The PFP Communication and Marketing Section provides UNICEF National offices with guidance and technical support for their public outreach efforts. The Communication for Partnerships unit is responsible to deliver communication guidance, brand management guidance and marketing campaign coordination, in the context of business and foundation fundraising partnerships’ activities led/conducted by PFP and/or UNICEF National entities. The unit provides strategic guidance, technical support and capacity building activities to strengthen UNICEF communication, brand identity and image through these partnerships

How can you make a difference?
In close collaboration with the communication for Partnerships team, the tasks to be undertaken, include , but are not necessarily limited to the following:
Communication and Brand management support
- Collaborate on updates of Communication for partnerships guidance documents
- Update UNICEF communication performance facts & figures based on UNICEF data
- Maintain and update UNICEF key messages
- Update the Communication package for Regular Resources based on current facts and figures
- Research specific thematic imagery needed for partnerships
- Create and maintain Communication frameworks for all existing partnerships
- Create executive summaries for case studies for CRM reference document
- Create a global consolidated Q&A compiling all existing partnerships’ Q&As
- Ad hoc collaborate on various other communication and brand needs for specific partnerships
Nonprofit organizations benchmarking
- Compile information related to key fundraising and communication activities, such as visual assets and messaging and activities related to partnerships between Corporates and non-profit organizations into existing tracking document.
Deliverables:
- Assist in finalizing updating four guidance documents
- Update the facts and figures from all ongoing partnerships
- Update the key message folder
- Assist in finalizing 2018 Communication package for regular resources
- Ongoing updates in light boxes for thematic partner imagery – for 2018
- Corporate partnership frameworks
- Executive summaries of case studies
- Final template for the global Q&A and all existing Q&As integrated
- 2018 updated folders on all partnership activities by bench marked not for profits
To qualify as a champion for every child you will have ...
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently with several stakeholders and on several projects at once - under set time frame
- Experience in not for profit marketing and communication for partnerships a plus
- Experience working with digital image systems
Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered for an internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years. (Undergraduate degree (BA) in communications, marketing or relevant field is preferred.)
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
- Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and
- Have no other relatives in the line of authority which the intern will report to.
- Individuals must demonstrate excellent academic performance through recent university or institution records.
