NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water,sanitation and hygiene sectors.

The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs

NRC is looking for an experienced HR & Admin Officer for its new programs in Cameroon.
The purpose of the HR & Admin officer is to provide Human Resources and administration support to the various human resource functions in the NRC Field office in Cameroon North/west Program which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counselling.

Job description

Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
Provide HR support in the NRC field Office in recruitment, exit, induction of new staff and staff performance and development management .
Prepare periodic HR reports.
Participate to the payroll preparation
Updating the Recruitment Tracker and circulating it weekly
Provide information to staff, supervisors and staff on human resource and work related issues.
Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization
Preparation and management of all National Staff contract
Implementing with line managers HR planning strategies which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements.
Induction and Onboarding of newly recruited NRC staff and keeping Appropriate records
Coordinate with relevant partners, suppliers, authorities, lawyers, Pension Office, Medical insurance company, etc.
Monthly stock reporting and stock count of Items in the HR/Admin store
Preparation of ID cards and documentation of new staff

Qualifications

Good knowledge of HR management; preferably labor and Social law
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar position preferably with an international NGO
Minimum of master degree in related field (HR, law etc…)
Good knowledge of the South-West and North-West regions context
Knowledge of South-West and North-West regions use, habit and local language
Good skills in Excel and Word
Fluency in English and work knowledge of French are required

Beginning: 01st August 2018
Duration of the contract: CDD, 6 month with high possibility of renewal according to the financing
Salary / Benefits: According to the NRC Salary Policy.
