  • Location: Bamako

    • External Relations, Partnerships and Resource mobilization
    • Private Fundraising and Partnerships
    • Public, Private Partnership
  • Closing Date: Closed

Since the outbreak of the crisis in Mali in 2012, humanitarian needs have dramatically increased, as well as the need to invest in longer-term, resilience-building interventions, in line with the humanitarian-development continuum. However, Mali remains one of the least funded crisis in the world, and the protracted nature of the conflict has led to limited public attention, together with an increased focus on security issues, thereby limiting investments in basic social services. At the same time, the potential to develop partnerships involving the private sector is on the rise. In this context, resource mobilization has become a more challenging exercise, demanding a mix of knowledge and skills, in order to better position UNICEF in Mali in an increasingly competitive funding environment, and to explore a wider range of resource mobilization and partnership opportunities, including innovative funding and shared value partnerships with the private sector. A TA Partnership Officer position is therefore required to support a more pro-active approach to resource mobilization, help make the case and better articulate UNICEF new programme priorities, such as the Young People’s Agenda, and explore new and innovative funding mechanisms, including strengthening engagement with the private sector.

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential. Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone. And we never give up.
