Role overview

The post holder will work as part of a global team of evaluation and research specialists, conducting evaluations and research across all VSO's programmes and leading on research and evaluations in the Livelihoods core programming areas.

Skills, qualifications and experience

An ideal applicant must have advanced understanding of research, monitoring and evaluation approaches and methodologies, experience of working in livelihood programmers particularly, within agri-based values and enterprise development and entrepreneurship projects, and must be conversant with resilient livelihood approaches. Must be skilled in the use of participatory methodologies and management of quantitative data.

Must have at least a Masters level education (in livelihood related areas and social sciences, research for social sciences) or equivalent experience. Excellent relationship management skills and experience working with people in different contexts. Good project management experience.
