The Position:

The Humanitarian Project Coordinator assists with programme/project implementation by using and developing appropriate mechanisms and systems that will ensure timely implementation of activities based on the project work plans and timely submission of reports. S/he is responsible for coordinating with project donors ensuring that they are provided timely updates on the status of the projects, as well as coordinating with the Donor Relations Specialist on technical and financial reporting to donors.

Requirements:

Education:  

Advanced university degree in public health, medicine, nursing, sociology, social anthropology, health education, health economics, epidemiology, behavioural studies, communication and other related fields.

Knowledge and Experience:

Prior experience in implementing health and health related projects and supervising RH-related projects desirable;
Experience in dealing with development assistance and donor relations
Demonstrated capacity to source, develop and maintain excellent relationships with key partners
Proven ability to represent the organization with government representatives, private sector and alternative sources
Knowledge on the MISP for SRH in Emergencies;
Experience in traveling to remote and disadvantaged areas in the country; and,
Familiarity with the UN system will be an advantage.

Languages

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including fluency in English and national language.
